Miele Partners with Poggenpohl for Chef Eric Ripert Kitchen
Award winning chef celebrates food and design innovation

Princeton, NJ – July 06, 2012 – Miele introduces its latest collaboration with celebrity chef, Eric Ripert and the kitchen design experts at Poggenpohl to launch a new kitchen concept. Featuring a complete suite of Miele appliances, the Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl embodies Ripert’s personal vision for a world-class restaurant kitchen reinvented for the at-home chef. 

Highlighted by a beautiful contemporary and eco-friendly design, each Miele appliance featured provides the perfect compliment for cooking and entertaining at home. “Cooking is a holistic process of planning, preparing, dining and sharing food,” explains Ripert. “I place food at the center of our humanity, as it nourishes not only our physical bodies, but also our emotional and spiritual lives.”

Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl details:

  • Eco-friendly Poggenpohl textured teak lava and terra melamine cabinetry.
  • Miele 36” induction cooktop (KM 5773) and 15” electric barbecue CombiSet™ (CS 1322 BG); create a truly versatile cooking surface.
  • Narrow pullout drawers and vertical cabinets storing all essential ingredients and daily cooking utensils right at the cooktop where the chef needs them most.
  • Caesarstone countertop fabricated to be flush with the Miele induction cooktop. Creating a surface where the chef can slide pans and pots without interruption.
  • Ripert specified details, including a plating area in front of the cooktop to prep dishes as he completes them.
  • Chef-inspired for the home fixtures: BLANCO Precision™ 16’’ SteelArt® sink and BLANCO Meridian™ Semi-Professional faucet.
  • Comfortable seating surrounds the island so the chef is entertaining guests and serving as he cooks.

The Eric Ripert Kitchen by Poggenpohl will be marketed through Poggenpohl Kitchen Design Centers nationally to consumers, design professionals and developers. The kitchen is now on display in the Poggenpohl New York City showroom, located at 150 East 58th Street.
